ACEEE Summer Study

Rural communities shouldn't have to choose between housing affordability, limited local capacity, and strong energy code implementation but making all three a reality requires a different approach. That's the focus of NORESCO’s Erica DiLello Scobee's presentation, "Rural Rules: Energy Code Implementation in Vermont and Colorado." Drawing on firsthand experience supporting Colorado Energy Office, Erica will share practical strategies for helping rural jurisdictions overcome implementation challenges, from limited staffing and workforce shortages to the growing demand for affordable, energy-efficient housing. The session highlights lessons learned from recent projects and innovative approaches that are helping communities successfully adopt and implement modern energy codes.

Federal Utility Partnership Working Group Seminars (FUPWG)

NORESCO is honored to present at the 2026 Federal Utility Partnership Working Group Seminars (FUPWG) hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy. On August 6th, Gopal Shiddapur, Vice President of Federal Project Development, will present “Infrastructure Modernization Beyond Energy Savings,” at 1:15pm and Mark "Dusty" Wheeler, P.E., BEMP, NORESCO’s Federal Engineering Operations Leader, will present “Utility Partners for Emerging Technologies” at 3:45 p.m. FUPWG is an exciting opportunity to share how energy service companies like NORESCO partner with federal agencies and utilities to deliver high-impact projects that strengthen resilience and modernize mission-critical infrastructure.
